Part-Time Retail Sales Assistant Position: Winter 2026/27 (Japanese Speaker) AJ Gallery is looking for a friendly and motivated, Part-Time Retail Sales Assistant to join our team for this upcoming Winter. AJ Gallery is located in the heart of Hirafu Village, Niseko, showcasing fine art photographic prints and custom creations by Aaron Jamieson taken throughout Hokkaido, and Japan. This is a great opportunity to work in an art gallery and meet both local and international visitors from around the world. Responsibilities • Welcome and assist gallery visitors • Process sales and maintain the gallery space • Assist with stock management, framing and displays • Respond to customer enquiries • Support the daily operations of the gallery Requirements • Native-level Japanese speaker • Conversational English preferred • Experience in retail, customer service, or hospitality • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude • Interest in art and design is a bonus Location: AJ Gallery, 4-chome-5-204-26 Nisekohirafu 1 Jo, Kutchan, Abuta District, Hokkaido 044-0089 The gallery is open everyday 11:00-19:00 during the Winter Season.
