Chef

Hey everyone, Smokies Restaurant and Bar in Madarao Kogen is looking for a chef to join the team from December 2026 to March 2027. We are known for serving hearty, pub-style meals whilst providing a warm and inviting environment for all of our customers in the coolest building in town. This season we're looking to build on a busy and successful winter by increasing our capacity to meet the town's demands whilst expanding the menu slightly. This will give the successful candidate the opportunity to take creative ownership alongside myself in helping shape the final menu for the season. Madarao is an incredible town that allows you to experience rural Japan, vibrant ski towns, and some of the best powder skiing and snowboarding in the world (in my humble opinion), all within a very short distance.
