Georgia has one of the most liberal visa regimes in the world for seasonal workers. No work permit required for most Western nationalities — simply arrive and find work.
Recruitment Timeline
Hiring is less formalised than Western European resorts. Hotels and guesthouses hire October–November. Ski schools and guiding operations from November. Many positions are found through word of mouth and on-the-ground networking. The digital nomad community posts opportunities online.

Growing but still developing scene. The Gudauri Hut is the main gathering spot. Rooms Hotel bar for cocktails. New Gudauri complex has several restaurants and bars. Loft Gudauri. Various small bars and restaurants along the main road. The scene is more about hearty Georgian feasts (supra) with local wine, chacha (grape brandy), and khinkali than European-style après bars.
Healthcare
Small medical clinic in Gudauri for basic treatment. Nearest proper hospital: hospitals in Tbilisi (2 hrs). Travel/ski insurance strongly recommended. Mountain rescue exists but is less organised than Western European resorts.
Shops & Services
Small grocery shops and minimarkets in Gudauri. Limited services compared to European resorts. Tbilisi (2 hrs) for any significant shopping. ATMs available. SIM cards cheap and easy to obtain.
International Community
Growing — Gudauri has attracted a community of international freeriders, digital nomads, and seasonal workers from Russia, Ukraine, Israel, and Western Europe. English is increasingly spoken.
