About
Queenstown's closest mountain — about 20 minutes from town centre — with 280 hectares of varied terrain across rolling alpine bowls. Coronet Peak is famous for its Friday and Saturday night skiing operations under floodlights, with panoramic views over Lake Wakatipu and The Remarkables. Operated by NZSki alongside The Remarkables and Mt Hutt, so most staff have multi-mountain access. Workers live in Queenstown rather than on-mountain.

Worker Amenities & Living
Staff Housing Not Available
- Cost of Living
- NZD $450–$650 (Queenstown rents are some of NZ's highest)
- Public Transport

- Staff meals on-mountain
- Pro deals on gear and apparel
- Reciprocal pass benefits at partner resorts
- Staff social events
Local Life & Community
- Après & Nightlife
- Après happens in Queenstown rather than on-mountain since staff commute back to town. The Cow, Ferg's, World Bar, Atlas Beer Café, and the lakefront bars on Marine Parade are seasonal-worker fixtures. Queenstown's nightlife is among the best in the southern hemisphere — bars open late, lots of live music.
- Healthcare
- Lakes District Hospital in Frankton (10 min from Queenstown). Multiple GP clinics and pharmacies in central Queenstown. Helicopter retrieval to Dunedin Hospital (3 hrs by road) for major trauma.
- Shops & Services
- Full Queenstown infrastructure — multiple supermarkets (New World, Pak'nSave, Countdown), banks, pharmacies, large gear shops (Outside Sports, Torpedo7, Kathmandu), restaurants of every cuisine, and 24/7 services in town.
- International Community
- Very large — Queenstown is one of the most international working-holiday destinations on earth. Strong Argentinian, Brazilian, British, Irish, German, and Canadian seasonal communities. English is the working language but Spanish and Portuguese are very common in town.
